I grew up with and loved the teenage Adrian Mole books. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the 33 years old Adrian -

I guess it is funny reading about the teenage Adrian, but quite different when a 33 years old man is such a loser!

Originally written in weekly chunks for the Guardian, and all the better for it, though some of the topical jokes now leave me scratching my head occasionally.

Disappointing - unfortunately the worst of the whole series so far.

It served for my daily reading pleasure in the Metro. But that's it.
For anyone not living in the UK it is a funny but sometimes boring book.

a sad example of someone who doesn't know that it's better to quit while you still have original material. adrian really is unbearable now. unfortunately, this series has become a dead horse.

I enjoyed this Adrian Mole as I have all the others. They are easy reading and can fit anywhere into your day. The one thing I thought was odd was the bizarre and abrupt ending, did they run out of words?

I enjoyed the new Adrian mole book. I was a teen when 13 &3/4 diary was out. Now he is 33 in his new one with 2 sons in this one. He still likes Pandora & its quite funny.

This is Adrian, now aged 33 who lives with his 2 sons. It is fairly funny [though in my opinion not a patch on the previous diaries]and has a rather abrupt ending that I didn't expect! Felt slightly disappointed on the whole and wonder maybe if the diaries of Adrian Mole have run their course?

I consider Sue Townsend's books about the exttremely eccentric, anal-retentive, pathetic and loveable Adrian Mole to be some of the best satire about our modern society I've read. It's intelligent, it's insightful, and it's incredibly funny!

Enjoyable - i used to love the adrian mole books when I was younger, and although I preferred his adventures when he was an adolescent, insanely inlove with pandora braithwaite - this is still a good read and some chucklesome pop culture references.
