Ini mula2 gue baca seri For Better or For Worse-nya Johnston. From there I idolize her. Well, now I'm reading her 3 rd book. Ngatret, gue! ;D

In FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE, Lynn Johnston's cartoon family actually ages the way cartoons like GASOLINE ALLEY did and DOONSBURY do. Her humor is family-oriented along the Erma Bombeck line but is consistently funny and sometimes intentionally sad and empathic. You would expect nothing less from a Canadian.

ALL For Better or For Worse collection.It's a must read for all comic lovers.But you'd have to start from the first ones, cuz the carachters grow up, and it's so much fun to see them going through all the phases of life.Lynn Johnston is a comic genius!!!

This is actually my least favourite collection. I thought it would be interesting to read her thoughts and stories regarding the development of particular strips and story lines, but the reflections were sparse, not very insightful and her choices lacked continuity. When it finally got to the year's collection, I didn't think it was her best year. That being said, it is still "For Better of For Worse: The Earlier Years" so how bad can it be, right?
