the book humbles you and makes you realize how much of a material focused world our society has become...it puts any problems you think you have into perspective

Perhaps this is one of those books that is exactly right for exactly the right audience. I ended up intentionally leaving it in a hotel room because I was tired of carrying it an never felt engaged by the writing.Sadly, the first 1/3 came off as "required reading" in a preachy, guilt inspiring way. I "donated" the book when I got tired of schlepping it around, never wanting to read it.

These guys were on Oprah and while their personal story is engaging and interesting, their way of explaining Me to We wasn't so much for me.

Good book. But anyone who gets to go to Harvard gets to go to Davos. That is a given.There should be more research done in community based growth. I am afraid even communities will become the next commodity to help rich get richer.

Finding meaning in a material world, not finding material in a material world. Who the hell wrote that beside the book??? Excellent! I recommend this book to everyone!
