If I had to vote on Shakespeare's works I would pick this as one I enjoyed the most (which is saying a lot since I find his work incredibly boring). I think I had a better understanding of it from having to read it in high school, but I also love the random bits that have made it into pop culture like the Weird Sisters, the dialogue of the witches, and the significance of the theme of murder, betrayal and guilt.

One thing I cannot forget in this novel:over-vaulting aimbition of Macbeth. Who can forget,''All the perfumes of Arabia cannot wash away the smell from my hands''

Lesson learnt: Don't listen to random bitches on the road. Don't marry a bitch. Stop hanging out with friends who do either or both of the above, for fear of death. If you're king of a land where someone's doing either or both of the above, kill anyone involved or related to them.
