A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S COMEDY is my favorite Shakespeare comedy, filled with romance, mistaken identity, groundling humor and happy endings. Puck and Bottom are two of Shakespeare's most endearing characters. Lord, what fools these mortals be! The wedding scene inspired one of Felix Mendelssohn's most famous pieces of music and is still heard at many weddings today, and the tradition of standing during the moment when the King enters remains a part of modern stage lore. Woody Allen drew inspiration from this in his less well known but equally funny A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S SEX COMEDY.

Loved, Loved, loved this book. My children love this book. Did not like what I heard about changes made in the movie, and so did not go see it.

Brilliant. One of the best plays that he wrote. If your gonna read only few shakespeares in your lifetime this should be one of them.

Definitely one of Shakespeare's best works, full of fun and magic. I do think I would enjoy seeing this performed much better than reading it/listening to it, however it was much easier to digest than some of his other work.
