If you like the Janet Evanovich "Stephanie Plum" series, you will probably like this series. A little bit more suspenseful, probably.

this was my least favorite so far from the Scarpetta series -- I had a difficult time getting thru it because it just didn't grab my attention. compared to some others, this one just didn't grab my attention, hold on to it and keep me from wanting to put it down--took me forever to finish.

If you like suspense, Cornwell delivers. You really need to read her novels in the order they were written. Her characters mature with each story. I love about 90% of her novels based on Kay Scarpetta.
