I was surprised that I liked this book. The story is much more complicated that it initially seemed. It is not so much about gifts as burdens and our ability to ask for help.

Tucker is one of my favorite authors, and this is my favorite book.

My least favorite Lisa Tucker novel, but that's not to say I didn't like it. Has a limp ending problem, that she's managed to solve in latter works. Completely worth reading though and incredibly compelling.
