engrossing spy story. As usual Boyd's focus on characters is fascinating.

Boyd is a genius. The book needs some time to get going, but once the tale has picked up speed, you find yourself unable to stop reading the perfectly narrated story about spying, betrayal, love, mothers and daughters... it's definitely worth the read.
