if you have o level maths and physics, then einstiens clear explanations, will get you understanding the 'why' of relativity. if you want to go through the maths (lorentz transforms applied to light and matter) they are proved in the appendix in the back. excellent work. only a master of the subject can explain something so complicated so clearly. the mark of a genius.

General theory of relativity part is really difficult to digest(may be only for a layman in physics like me)..reader has to do multiple readings to understand the concepts..its a great work from the most admired genius..u will feel the heat of his intuitive thoughts in each line

I only read a few chapters of this book. However, the chapters that I did read (the first three I think) were amazing. This is what is amazing: a penny will fall in a straight line from the onlooker's point of view. And from the point of view of the person who dropped the penny, the penny will drop along a curved line.This means that one person will see a straight and simple solution, and another will see a complex and non-linear solution. Very mind-blowing for me.
