I really enjoy reading Julie Klassen and this book was no exception. It is true to the era and a clean, sweet romance. There is a bit of a mystery to be solved that kept me guessing right up to the end. I enjoyed all the characters and their individual personalities. I would recommend this book to historical romance readers:)

Julie Klassen is an exciting writer. She shows us kindness and compassion in her writings. I liked the suspense and the unknown of how the book ended. Great book! I highly recommend this book!

Wow! This was a wonderful book about a young woman Olivia. We get to know her so well that I can picture her as a real person. Not to give too much away, is hard in this review as events are intertwined in a delicious mystery! I was surprised at the outcome in the last chapter of the book. Olivia has something in her past she doesn’t want to reveal. She is running from home and all she knows to get away from what has happened. She is drawn by a party, to see what is going on. She overhears something she shouldn’t have and is promptly arrested, thrown in to jail where she is assaulted by a prisoner and looses her voice. All the better for Lord Bradley. He gives her no choice in the matter, but puts her to work in Brightwell Court as an under nurse to his cousin’s children. Many surprising things take place and I don’t wish to give anything away!

I was intrigued in the description of life of servant and Lord alike in this book. I enjoyed reading the quotes in the book from old books about how a servant and governess should behave. I liked the discussion questions at the end of the book as well.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. I look forward to reading more of Julie Klassen’s novels. If they are anything like this one, they will be great.

I would like to thank Bethany House Publishing for the opportunity to read and review their books and for the free copy of this book I received.
