My sister's future husband waxes poetic in his typically rambling, bohemian style. A great first literary experience with lived Christianity for those unfamiliar or even hostile to it. Re-reading it with a friend now.

While I understand some people's theological complaints, this book really opened my eyes to where so much of my restlessness as a Christian came from. The openness and honesty about struggles with the faith are refreshing and this book played a big part in leading me from a faith that my family had to a faith that I personally had. Great book.

This was the first Donald Miller book I read and I enjoyed it so much taht I have read all his other books as well. I like his slightly random style of storytelling through his life. It's honest was refreshing.

Great read. Miller uses his life experiences to tell the story of his journey to God. From community, to compassion, to selfishness, and Jesus, Miller gives us accounts of life that can be applied to our own lives.
