okay this waaaaaay better then 1st but still confussing as hell!!!! and if jack does the whole "i love schulyer/WTF bitch get the hell away from me!!/i will die 4 her/who the hell r u???/i loove schulyer/my father says i can't so i wont" shit!!!! it bugz the crap out of me!!!!!! mimi is still a total bitch. so surprise. now when i think back 2 this book my brain is sooooo confused!!!!

I couldn't put it down at first, it was very good. But, at the end, it seemed so predictable. I never finished it, though I only have like 10 pages left. I started to read a new book and never really cared of finishing it.

This book has to be one of my favorite books that I own. This book was a big joy to read, and was a great change from all of the other boks that I read and I very much enjoyed it. At the end of the day I coundn't wait to reed it. What I loved most about it is that it would jump from one side of the story to the other. I hope she comes out with other blood novels in the futur, it would definitely be something that I would buy the second I would find out about it.

Spent my leisurely Saturday afternoon reading this book. Definitely a page-turner, and I'm rather frustrated that the next one doesn't come out until October! I love this complex world of reincarnated vampires with a biblical twist. The writing is not bad, though awkward and choppy in places, but overall the sparseness of some key details adds to the suspense.

This was a very intreging & interesting book I truly enjoyed it. Blue Bloods is different from the typical vamire story. I liked the aspect that the Vampires themselves are but in a sense fallen angels cast out from heaven and cursed. the reincarnation is quite the page turner aswell. Born human but grow up to be a vampire. You might compare the Blue Bloods Novels to The House of Night in the sense that they are born human though still very different from one another read to see for yourself.

The writing style is just too much to overcome and I eventually couldn't take it anymore. The book was tossed and will sit never to be read again. This had so much promise and a good story following the first blue bloods book (which itself was a chore to tolerate the bad writing) but it just didn't take advantage. I can't believe shitty writers like De La Cruz still continue to get published. But then again if this shit sells as good as it does, it only means my books will reach epic proportions when completed.

Was quite excited to read this second installment but was quite disappointed. Not with the story itself. De La Cruz did offer more information on Schulyer's role in the future of the Blue Bloods. However, was more disappointed by the actual tone of the 'authorial voice'. Felt that the author's writing style had changed dramatically from the first novel to the second. It's almost as if De La Cruz changed the age bracket she was writing for. Unecessary to read the first novel as she seems to recap most of the first novel in the first couple chapters of the second.

Still keeping up with the first's fast pacing, while at the same time improves a whole lot better. Quite an enjoyable read, although some parts De La Cruz seemed to be writing in circles when it's obvious. The last chapter greatly disappointed me, but I'll let it pass in anticipation for the third series.

I breezed right through this book. It was a great addition to the first one and is just a good read for any one who doesn't demand the everyday vampire. No the vamps in this book aren't like most vamps, but who wants to read the same vampire story up over and over? Not me thats for sure, so I appriciate it when authors go outside the box on this particular topic.

loads better.....in each book there is alot of information to absorb (which is a good thing) living the reader desperate to find out whats next! the sequel to blue Bloods brings schuyler to venice with her best friend oliver to find her grandfather :Lawrence Van Alen ... meanwhile in New York ,Blue Bloods are preparing themselves for the ball of the year : The Four Hundred Ball...

Blah blah, fashion, blah blah, vampires, blah blah, muddled Christian theology, blah blah Flowers in the Attic. The end. In other words, more of the same from the first, with de la Cruz blundering toward some kind of conclusion that you suspect she's only half considered. Possibly she's using an eight ball to figure it out.

Reviewed by Randstostipher "tallnlankyrn" Nguyen for TeensReadToo.com When we last left off with Schuyler Van Alen, she was just getting used to the news of being a Blue Blood, or what we normally label them as, a vampire. She gets invited into the New York Blood Bank Committee and, before she knows it, Schuyler is swept away into the unknown world of the Blue Bloods. Unfortunately, it seems like Schuyler discovered her true self at the wrong time, since three Blue Blood teens have been murdered. Still not satisfied, Schuyler wants more information for why young vampires are dying and the only way she can find out more is by visiting her grandfather, who lives in Italy. And so in MASQUERADE, Schuyler is off with her best friend to get to the truth. But while Schuyler is trying to learn more about her new world, the Four Hundred Ball is being held in New York, and it seems like the party, before and after, are more than what she bargained for. Of course, with all of this mystery and drama, Schuyler's life also has to be filled with a little boy drama. It's not enough having mixed-up, obnoxious feelings toward Jack, but with the new guy in town, things just happen to get messy. Melissa de la Cruz continues her amazing series, BLUE BLOODS, with full force in MASQUERADE. Some problems are solved while even more are unleashed, and you just can't help but fall deep into this wonderful series. The relationships that Schuyler has with everyone around her are just amazingly sweet. The good part about this series is that there is definitely more to come. The drawback just happens to be waiting for the next one.
