Very eye-opening book that captured my attention from beginning to end. Of course, it is true that I do have a special interest in this part of the world - since I lived in Saudi Arabia - yet I found Al Jannsen's writing style to be very engaging. His command of the facts and the reality in which they live is equally fascinating.

Very striking. It shows what it really means to be a Christian rather than the playing at it we usually do here in the west.

Taking real people and making a fictionalised account out of the totality of their experiences actually works very well. I hope this gets read as widely as it should do, and encourages more people to pray for the transformations it talks about.

The author takes us inside the lives of about a dozen different Muslims, giving us an understanding of their struggles, challenges, hopes, dreams, and fears. This book helped me to understand the mind of a Muslim, both believers and non believers. It carries a reminder to believers everywhere that the sacrificial love we show to others displays Jesus Christ. It also carries the reminder to pray, pray, pray.

Quite an insightful book on how Muslims who turned to Christ deal with a lot of hardships. It gave me more of a comradeship for them.

I'm not a big fan of non-fiction, but I found this interesting. It made me feel fortunate to think that I live in a country as free as I do.

This book explores the lives of some secret believers in Christ in the Muslim world. It illustrates the hardship and the dangers of serving Christ in a Muslim land. Sometimes people die. Sometimes they must leave their homeland. Sometimes they speak the Word with boldness and take the consequences.
