I went to a reading of his personal letters at an event at Emory several months ago. I like his wry humor and self-deprecation. I read somewhere else that hard writing makes for easy reading, I think that was probably true of Beckett's efforts.

Bloody Briliant, in the literature of the world this volume by Beckett is a seven course dinner and is utterly delicious. "The Expelled" is by far my favorite as it haunts me just thinking about it.
