I especially loved the descriptions of Mutt, the dog. At the end of the book, the two characters most happy are those that have lost all their material possessions and seek fulfillment in their personal relationships. Those still trying to compete in a globalized world are miserable.

i couldn't finish this book - got 3/4 of the way through and there was still nothing to keep me going. quite pointless. a semblance of a story exists in the Gyan and Sai relationship and there are some beautiful moments and turns of phrase..but seriously..its pretty dull overall
