Hmmmm, I liked how it flipped back and forth to the past. I felt like it never really wrapped up the past point of view. Kinda came together a little too quick and easy. I enjoyed it but felt let down by the ending.

This novel was very unpredictable. It starts like a children's book, but moves into dark, sad characters who have pointless lives. It is cleverly set in a megamall in England. It felt like there would be no resolution to the story line, but then at the end with a few twist turns and surprises it came to a satisfactory conclusion.

I loved this book. Sure it was a mystery of sorts but the was 3 stories are woven in here is intriguing and all are interesting. Really great book!

This book was very hard to read and to follow. Descriptions for small things took pages and pages. It was very depressing, and in the end predicable.

No está mal.. La autora se recrea en la descripción interior de los personajes, con lo que la historia que cuenta parece que sea lo de menos... aunque al final descubres que todo tiene un porqué, y todos tienen mucho en común...

the cover is deceiving, the synopsis on the back makes it seem like a mystery...but this incredible first novel by O'Flynn is so much more. The mystery bookends a wonderful story about a woman working in a record store in a mall in England and a lonely mall security guard. The reader is drawn into their world by O'Flynn's indepth character development and a story with heart, warmth and humor. My favorite book of 2008.
