It's scary to realize just how little people have relationships to numbers. This book was eye opening and made me think!

A small book with big ideas, INNUMERACY shows even the most mathematically timid the basic concepts for using numbers in everyday life to personal advantage. People who crunch numbers for a living also find this book useful for reminding them of the concepts behind their craft. The only thing you have to lose from reading this book is your fear of math.

Very interesting read. Probably should be read by most people! A little choppy, but what do you expect from a Mathmatician?

I'd like to see this author tear apart Malcolm Gladwell's arguments. I think that would be interesting for sure.

Good reading. The author cites various examples of how basic application of mathematics can change behaviour and help in decision-making. Helps one get rid of some prejudices (well, atleast for upto 2 weeks of reading the essay!)

Good book. Any professions that use math/stat knowledge (business, medicine, etc.) should have this as required reading. Downside: The examples aren't always clear it book was written in 1988 and some of the numbers used in examples are surely wrong now. The book needs a new edition for the 21st century.
