I didn't really enjoy this book, it was extremely sad. I don't like this book. I thought it was dull and heart-wrenching. I HATE this book. It is depressing. Yuck. I don't like this book. I thought it was dull and heart-wrenching.

If u can change the names of character and few other things; You have one typical story of a lower-middle class family. I read it as part of my literature course material back at school. I could not comprehend the issues dealt there in. Now after more than a decade I gave it another read. A family of three entirely different characters keeps u glued-with an occasional entry of hunk. Lots of stage whispers to add to the strong and wonder full theatrical atmosphere. Must read

In an interview, T Williams said that (basically) a conversation that doesn't challenge or test those involved is wasted breath. T Williams does not believe in comfortable interactions, as they reveal nothing of true character. This shows through in his works. His characters are passionate, raw, and fierce. They are pushy, vain, needy,desperate, loving and completely engrossing!

Pretty weak plot wise. Just not enough happens. It's far too character driven.
