Not a bad collection of short stories, although I liked some more than others. I didn't like "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" at all. Too strange. The others were mostly enjoyable, although some were less memorable than I've come to expect from F. Scott Fitzgerald. For anyone living in the Twin Cities, I'd recommend "The St. Paul Stories of F. Scott Fitzgerald" instead. For anyone pursuing a career in advertising, I'd recommend the very brief "Gretchen's Forty Winks."

I loved this selection of short stories! I am unfamiliar with what the "jazz age" is actually meant to refer to, aside from the actual time period, but I really thought that these stories were timeless. I am ashamed to admit that this is the first time I've read F. Scott Fitzgerald, and had no idea what to expect. I found his characters to be relatable, his writing humorous and witty where it counted, and his style engaging. He had a way of writing about social generalities without referencing them directly, making these sweeping statements that are as true as they are general. He was completely spot-on in this way of speaking about the aging process, ad other common denominators of the human condition.
