Ugh, I could not stand this book! Had to force myself to read it in high school! Even worse than Huck Finn! Perhaps there is a lot about it I didn't really understand and that can make a book extremely boring!

Better than I thought it would be. I found the main character surprisingly realistic, albeit extremely self absorbed. Interesting perspective of war.

I know everybody ends up reading this book in school, but it's worth it. 30 years after having first read it I can still see descriptions from the book in my mind.
