Just finished the book. As always with this series it takes me a good while to get going, but once i'm neck deep into i cannot put it down until i've read the last page. This book had some definately interesting twists and turns, which I enjoyed. I enjoy it when the author decides to do something unexpected, as it breaths new life into the story. The character development is exellent. The only problem i have is that while I am reading what is going on with one character I am pondering what the other characters are doing at that moment. This book has many characters, and I would definately recommend you read the series from the beginning or you will feel completely lost. Overall I loved this one.

those who critises Rj should know that his series is short of perfection. very few writers can write such complex and rich novels. evrey character is influanced by the others in variant ways, evrey time i read the books i dicover how GIANT is RJ. he is like tols toy to me, i know some ppl disagree with but i cant diffrentiate him from this ginat writer TOLS TOY...R.I.P RJ

As usual, reading a Wheel of Time book was a multi-month commitment but worth it.

The pieces of the puzzle that is this epic is moving slowly. Not really too much in the way of action, except the battle at the end which kind of brings things together that was told in the rest of the book. I didnt like the way that things happened all of a sudden, for example Nyneave being able to heal stilled people. Or how all of a sudden Egewene was made Amrylin Seat and the way she discovered how to travel in dreams physically. No lead up to it. Just virtually covered in a couple of lines. It wasnt a bad book, just a bit slow for my liking. Hopefully the pace picks up in the next book.

Probably the book which seperates the True Fans from the casual readers. If you keep moving on from here than you've done it. Your Geekness level increases and you are a lot cooler, even if it just to me.

The battle at Dumai's Wells is unbelievably awesome. Jordan is a master at building the suspense and gives so much detail that you can see the battle play out in your head. One of my favorites of the series.

Jordan still focus' too much on the women in this book. I read through it only to get to the end. Hopefully we will get back to how the series started.

Except for the repetitive descriptives, like all the previous wot books, its a fine read. I find the storyline is stagnated here compared to the previous volumes. The story is moving slower but at an enjoyable pace, still, it should have included a bigger plot.

This is the best book in the series so far. Jordan really picked up his stride in this one. There are so many threads being woven into the Pattern at this point, so many key elements falling into place (or exploding into place), that it's hard to put the book down! Especially with Rand and his creeping madness in the midst of fighting, torture, death, strife, manipulation, the One Power... and, of course, love.[Note: This is my 2nd read of the series, books 1-11, in preparation for reading book 12.]

I loved this set. Robert Jordan was a great writer and could capture the essence of fantasy. I will miss him and his works. I am really looking forward to the final 3 books.

Book 6 of the wheel of time series....Hmmmm. This was another very good book by Jordan. Continues in the same style as the previous 4 books, filled with action and surprises....On the downside, it gets really slow in some parts and the ending was not as strong as the last 4 books. But that doesn't change the fact that it's a great book. I have really big hopes for the next books in the series...

I enjoyed reading "The Wheel of Time" up until this book. In my opinion, "Lord of Chaos" is full of filler, unneeded plot lines and inter-character drama that fails to move the story forward at any measurable pace. The rich tension and conflict of previous volumes seems to fail here as well. For me, it was a bit of a let down. I sincerely hope the next books pick up as I loved the earlier installments.

By far the best of the Wheel of Time, Lord of Chaos is engaging, thrilling and worth a read. Before Jordan slowed the pace of his series to molasses on a cold day, this showed how excellently he could actually write and how rewarding it was to read what he'd penned.
