An amazing spiritual journey, that seems almost manic at times, but actually comes off sounding like it was a real genuine experience. She would be a very interesting person to meet and hear speak sometime. She taught me things about Judaism and Christianity that I hadn't known.

Caught myself skimming quite a bit. There are interesting parts to her story about her gradual conversion from Judaism to Christianity.

This has been on my list since Bonnie first recommended it, and its number finally came up. Well worth the wait, it's the memoir of a young woman, raised Jewish, who converts to Christianity. Really, really good: Winner explains her struggle to find a place where she belongs in Christianity, especially when so much of Judaism is still so important to her. A gentle reminder that finding the path to the divine that works for you is never, never an easy endeavor.

A Reform Jewish girl turns Orthodox Jew turns Episcopalian. It is a complex book about love and devotion for God, chasing God written by a desperate seeker, a broken sinner and an intelligent, intellectual young girl. I loved every single word and was sad when this love story ended and I can almost say with certainty she will end up Catholic someday. I look forward to that day.

No one writes like Lauren Winner. She is open and sincere letting us into her life and all the while helping us understand greater things like religion, spirituality and God.

Almost finished with this one and can hardly put it down. Lauren Winner is a very interesting author writing on a subject that completely obsorbs me. I had searched very long for a book concerning personal stories of converstion to Christianity from Judaism and this was the first one I came across. I find myself very like the spiritual part of Lauren Winner, seaching through spiritual and religious beliefs and falling into Christianity. Many of the things she feels, thinks about, and does...are closely related to my own life and I must thank her for writing a book that really touched my personal life and my heart. I can't wait to finish it!
