This book is a paradigm shift in thinking about the process and reality of sanctification. The fundamental point Bridges makes is that grace is the bulwark of sanctification and not works. With a type of evangelical legalism so prevalent in many churches, this book is a timely course correctiion. I especially think this book is valuable to help those involved in the discipleship of students, especially those who attend Christian schools.

Wow. Do you think you understand the grace of God? Read this and find out. Bridges is first profoundly biblical and second profoundly practical. Reading Transforming Grace could possibly transform your relationship with God.

I read this years ago and I would like to read it again...It helped me taste and see the grace of God, especially relative to fighting the Accuser who likes to haunt believers with sins of their past.

Great book on the ongoing relevance of the gospel for living the Christian life. Bridges disabuses us of a performance mentality to Christianity whereby we recognize that we need grace to begin the Christian life, but then need to "made good" on the grace God gave us by working our way out of our spiritual bankruptcy. He underscores that the Christian life is always lived by the grace of God in Christ. He builds on this foundation to demonstrate how a clear focus on grace leads to a transformed life, not primary based on duty (although we certainly ought to obey) but on delight in Christ.
