As a story, it is not compelling or well written. As theology, it is the old Faith/Love. Skip it.

I learned incredible things from Gods heart through this story..... The ending is very controversial. However, I like this book for the subject matter.

Started off unbelievable: dark, and mysterious. Then it turned way too preachy. God nicknamed Papa and acting like Aunt Jemima didn't work for me.

A bit odd for depicting God as an older black woman, the Holy Spirit as a younger oriental girl and Jesus as....well I guess making Jesus a lumberjack looking carpenter makes sense. Nevertheless the depictions seem a bit odd at first, but as you learn WHY they are shown that way and just start reading into the messages they bring, they can really change the way you view your faith. A brilliant book that I have been suggesting to nearly everyone.

The elaboration of God was so vivid that I faced God in every object. The elaboration was like the soul of God urging you to believe in the lord Almighty. You can sense God if you believe in him. I think many aspects of my life will depend on the excerpts of this book and from now onwards.
