Second book in The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series. Newly engaged Precious Ramotswe continues to solve local mysteries as she negotiates her relationship with master mechanic Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni. Watching them decide where to live, the matter of the engagement ring, and the surprise arrival of two foster children is gently humorous and true to life. Absolutely wonderful. I especially recommend the audio version.

These books are proving to be interesting- they are slow moving but descriptive and they meake you feel as if you are in Botswana

Delightful book. Very enjoyable and sweet. A wholesome, light and lovely story, well told and well written. A look into a whole other way of life that was a nice escape.

The author does an excellent job in transporting you to Botswana and into Precious Ramotswe's life. She is a strong woman who every reader will adore. These books are a quick read and always fun!
