I loved this book...and the funny thing is..it's not the type of book I would typically read. Full of intrigue and twists.

The story was excellent and the character creation was oustanding, but maybe too outstanding because I began to loathe the New England snottines of these kids and the precocious way in which they found their own personal doom. Is there such a thing as characterization that is so real it turns a reader off? Maybe so.

Really good book, well written and I miss the characters already. I couldn't put the book down until I was done with it and then I wanted to read it again. Thrilling.

this is another paperback that I cant throw away, its shocking and gripping and you kind of go along with the depravity of seemingly intelligent people. but its good that the characters dont ever really get over what they have done which goes to show that there are ALWAYS consequences.

I have just finished it and wow. Dynamite ending. The characters are great...and yeah pretty horrible. Being an Ancient History Scholar in my college days made it all the greater...disturbingly so...I think I may know some of these people! ...She really captures the tension and the remarkable relationships between the characters. I would highly recommend reading it. Once I got started there was no going back!

This is one of the best books I've read lately. I think I might like it so much because I went to college in the time period of the book in the years right before the Internet took off and before everybody had a cell phone.

I kept waiting for it to get good. It strings you along but never gets good. I was dissapointed that I kept continuing to give it an opportunity to pick up. Save yourself the time and do not read this one!

This brings up such vivid memories for me. A friend called it "unputdownable." And that's it in every sense of the word. Plot has brilliant momentum, a brilliant crux and resolution. brilliant.

I picked this book up at a youth hostel after running out of novels abroad. Although the writing itself is ok, the story is woeful and the characters are some of the worst and thinnest concotions I've ever had the displeasure of reading about. Finishing this book was like what I imagine you'd feel like after colonic irrigation. That people actually read this book when they have the option of reading something else just blows my mind.

Highly original. Intriguing, quirky characters, really enjoyable. Maybe a little longer than necessary.
