what an amazing book!!!...the author is truly imaginative...i recommend this book...it takes one to the other side...what if...this book hits deep somewhere...the narrative is kind of slow and can be a drag but seems deliberate in the author's part to take readers on a slow and chilling confirmation of what we readers know all along...

Kazuo Ishiguro is an amazingly subtle writer. I was deeply moved by its ending.
In spite of the disappointment and resignation which Cathy feels, there is a sort of greatness in her. A wonderful piece of work.

the writing was beautiful. the characters though did not live up to expectations, nor did the story, it honestly fell flat at the end. there were so many different ways the author could've taken this.

Delightful prose, but lukewarm ending...doesn't really go into the chilling parts of it in the middle of the story.

I gave this book a mixed review on Amazon after I initially read it. With time, however, it has grown more profound. After my father's passing it is even more so.

The description of this book doesn't tell you anything about its far deeper meaning. It's an allegory for our mortality and that we diddle away our time thinking, acting and worrying about stupid things while ignoring the fact that we're going to die.

Never Let Me Go is beautifully crafted, confusing and so rewarding. The story is set in near present day England, but along an alternate time line. There is no backstory, so as the story unfolds at a languid pace the true nature of what appears to be an English boarding school becomes apparent. Very enjoyable read.

The Remains of the Day was better...I've also read better sci-fi based on the issue of cloning, such as "The Secret." This book never made it big, but was extremely well written and very, very provocative. Overall, I was disappointed with this book.

It told about the society we may probably think about when we were studying the concept of clone people. I got no idea from the very beginning but wonder why those "students" had been pushed to study poetry, painting those art stuff. I really curious to find out the "secret". finally, the saddest thing should be something you find helpless to change. I think there is a very thin borderline between "never let me go " and "just let me go", which is the basic "human right"!
