Another great addition to the Sandman comics. I love the short stories of the different brothers and sisters of the Endless. Great art styles by the different artists. They really make each story unique for each of the brothers and sisters.

A great anthology that aims to hang stories on each of the endless, but which does not really explore them as entities. the stories explore themes more successfully, and even where the stories falter the art dazzles. different artists handle each chapter and they show a tremendous variety and a tremendous inventiveness.

Very Uneven, but still altogether good appendix to Gaiman's Masterful Sandman series. Recommended.

Delerium is SO my favorite. The artwork in this series is incredbile, especially in this last one.

Oh, the things I heard about this one. The primary complaint being that it put unique artistic style before solid storytelling. The biggest target for that statement is Despair's tale. The prose is excellent. The comic book medium they used was puzzling. Sure, the watercolor photo album approach is lovely yet melancholy looking but it wasn’t as intuitive to follow which narration box to jump to next. Changing the artstyle every story isn't detrimental but it takes away more then it adds. However, most of the tales provide some parts backstory some parts extension to The Sandman lore. The writing and the long-lived, distant but universal beings that dwell within the Sandman universe are mysterious, alien but full of heart.

Milo Manara writes the story for Desire, nothing more need be said. The rest is equally wonderful though bizarre at times. A good introduction to the Sandman universe.
