Without a doubt one of the best spy thrillers I have EVER read. Brad Thor did an excellent job of pulling in historical activities (e.g., Hannibal's crossing of the Alps, the Muslim Caliphate, split between Sunni and Shia Islan, significance of the Ottoman Empire, etc.) and current events. And while it could be read out of sequence, I would recommend reading his first three novels first to allow allow of the characters to be more fully defined.

Did I cover the Brad Thor points...oh, and if you do the catch up thing I just spent a few weeks doing you see some cut and paste from previous books but still the story is fun.

Not one of my favorites - still love Scot Harvath... just a little too much history for me wasn't my favorite Brad Thor book - too heavy on the history, ended abruptly... better luck next time
