I had the book for about a week or so, for the first couple of days, I read just a few chapters because I was so busy that I just did not have time. Then yesterday, we had the afternoon off and I started reading and just could not stop. It was breathtaking. Really, so many different twists and turns and I was like, oh my gosh it's not over yet? There's more? Yeah. There was more. If you liked the Da Vince Code, you will love this.

Like all D. Brown's books, this is fast moving. Hold on for a great ride. Brush up on your geography of Italy, too.

Most of the book was fairly entertaining. The ending was terrible! Dan Brown is on a mission to demonize the Catholic church and its really getting old. p.40 (Robert Langdon) "He had always been annoyed by the plethora of conspiracy theories that circulated in modern pop culture. The media craved apocalyptic healdines, and self-proclaimed "cult specialists" were still cashing in on millennium hype with fabricated stories that the Illuminati were alive and well and organizing their New World Order." Self-depreciating joke or does he not realize that is exactly what he does?

Here is the book which I enjoyed reading thoroughly. Apart from old Sydney stuff and five point someone, this was first english novel which I read. This book is awesome if I use few words, even better than Da Vinci and best of Dan Brown. This book I started reading in middle of my semester exam when I was in 4th sem, and I tell you it was very difficult to keep this book away to do some course work. Next was summer vacation and throughout summer I kept reading this book and Da Vinci. A complete thriller and master piece of modern time. Dan Brown is most enlighted author of our time and this book is perfect examlle of this master author.

This was sooooo great. Truly thrilling and absorbing. The movie couldn't begin to compare (although I do like Tom Hanks). This 700-plus page-turner is quickly read, and will "hook" you from the beginning. The white-space layout makes it easy on the eyes. I read it in less than a weekend.

decided to read Angels and Demons because after I was amazing by The Da Vinci Code and I was soon hooked. The way Brown combines actual facts with a suspenseful plot make the book incredibly enjoyable. Not only was I unable to put it down, but the knowledge I gained is amazing. I never would have thought I could learn so much from a novel. Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is flown to...more

With Angels and Demons Dan Brown pulls off the tour-de-force of supporting a decent thriller plot with an historical relevant background. The setting of this thriller is simply amazing. It brings the reader to places most laymen will never be allowed to visit. Through excellent research the author succeeds in introducing us to the hidden parts of Vatican City. If you do not get charmed by the plot of the novel, you at least get an enjoyable guided tour of one of the most secretive places on earth.

One of the best books I have ever read! The twists & turns were fantastic. While enjoying the story I gained some very interesting knowledge about The Vatican & Rome. I read The Da Vinci Code first, I happened to like Angels & Demons a bit more. Can't wait for the Lost Symbol!

I don't understand why the Da Vinci Code was such a hit. Angels and Demons is SO much better. I guess it was the Jesus factor causing so much controversy. If you liked Da Vinci code, you'll love this. And don't get me started on the Da Vinci movie. Absolute RUBBISH. Can't beleieve people who haven't read the book love it. And if there's someone who read the book that liked the movie then they really need help. Lol.I hope they never make a movie of Angels and Demons, although I don't think it's possible. But maybe it is....but as always the book is always better. Actually never say always...I guess you could say the Clockwork Orange movie would be classified as a book defined by a movie. So yes I shall hesitate in making this assumption like any other.

The way the public (are you one of them?) received this book at first and how they received it later on (when Da Vinci Code gained iconic status) is a perfect example of the lack of depth in our artistic, literary judgments. Worse, that there are thousands ready to yes Mr. now millionaire Brown's words in these books speaks for itself the misery that has consumed our age. Perhaps when a better time arrives and true arts are appreciated, Angels and Demons will be shelved into the category of useless, wasteful, forgotten books - but you need to read it to know what a bad book is like.
