This book is one I need to reread...we need people in this life and I love that this book reminds of the importance of recognizing who those special people are in your life. There are more kinds of friends than just Jonathan's and even though I value being a Jonathan to others this book teaches how you can be another special friend in someone's life if you take advantage of opportunities given to you! I hope you read it and thank all your friends for being exactly who they are and noone else.

Good book! I like the premise of the book. Sweet calls for believers to surround themselves with lifelong Withnesses. A "Withness" is a friend who is close, involved, and honest with us. This book is packed with Biblical examples and references. It almost has a "recovery" kind of feel to it... very good none the less.

I love the way Sweet writes. Thoughtful yet practical. His references are superb. Witty as well. Sometimes he gets a bit to close to the edge theologically for me but always comes back to center.

The premise of the book is there are people in your life,people who have been in your life and people that will come in your life that have personalities of people in the Bible. You yourself maybe I am sorry are one of the 11. And all of these personality traits of the 11 are God. Read it see who is your Peter/Paul is. Everyone needs a "YODA". And who is your Jethro,the butt kicker in your life? Got you thinking now! Enjoy the book.
