Beautiful and engaging writing with interesting characters, as with the Time Traveler's Wife. However, I was so let down by the ending that I had to give it four rather than five stars.

The best part were the descriptions of Highgate Cemetery. The characters were as unreal as the ghost story. No doubt, there will be a movie.

This woman sure knows how to write love stories. Very beautiful - it moved me to tears. However, the last fifth of the book sucks! Rather disappointing. Sorry!

This book didn't get great reviews, but I really liked it. That could be, perhaps, because I am obsessed with Highgate Cemetery and would give an arm and a leg to live adjacent to it.

i couldn't get into these characters, figured out the secret right at the beginning and it was quite unbelievable overall (not that time traveler's wife was believable but more convincing than this ghost story...). i SO wanted it to get better and it didn't-- i think i wanted to like it more than i did. disappointing.

Formulaic, predictable, flat fiction, unrelieved by any semblance of poetic prose. The crux of the story, when briefly explained, was confusing. The only breath of imagination came at the very end. Skip it.
