Excellent Poirot, and it is interesting in that this is one of the entries in the series in which Christie introduces the characters before the story begins with a _dramatis personae_.The murders take place at a girls' private school. Very interesting characters, very creepy, and written during the 50s, I think, so that things are still just repressed enough to create a nice sexual tension that still has some innocence. Very good.

Great book! I really enjoyed it but of course any Hercule Poirot mystery is absolutely amazing!

I really wondered where Poriot would come in. I figured out about the jewels, but the bad guy was a big surprise. Spies. Schoolgirls. Jewels. Murder. Poirot solves it all.

I read the entire Agatha Christie collection as a teenager. I remember them as being very entertaining, and badly translated into Portuguese. And no, I did not have anything better to do at the time (or so I thought). Anyway, I loved the suspense, the middle-upper class settings , and a lot of the characters - not necessarily the detectives.
