Not that bad .. I DO believe that a woman is not a doll to dress up for her husband , to watch her weight and to play with her children , or to take decisions on her behalf .. a woman should explore her world , seek happiness , gain new experiences and learn .. to be a successful wife , mother and most of all ... a TURE Woman

Loved it! It's like Pride & Prejudice only with more intrigue and a sassy feminist ending. It was revolutionary in its day (prompted outrage and riots) and today I think it could surprise people who're expecting a staid, conservative 'classic.' A Doll's House is the story of a husband and wife, the secrets that shape their marriage and the changes that occur when the truth threatens to comes to light. The language isn't archaic (you don't need footnotes!), the dialogue is quick and passionate--like an earlier reviewer said, it's like an onion. If you read this play with any semblance of a feminist perspective there's endless commentary about marriage, relationships, motherhood, and gender roles in general to be gained. Fabulous!

Story is like a hockey-stick. Starts with headlong & long downfall of a situation, last moment an upturn in setting Nora free
