In Piercing the Darkness the battle against evil continues, where a young loner fleeing for her life while trying to recall her dark past takes refuge in the tiny farming community of Bacon's Corner. There she finds herself caught up in the middle of bizarre events--from an attempted murder to a ruthless lawsuit against a struggling Christian school. This book has lots of action, suspense, and also makes one realize that there are forces out there that would try to take control of ones life. I personally like this book more than the more recent book, 'he Visitation' also by Frank Peretti, 'cos it's fascinating what we do and when we pray, how that affect the spirit realm.

I so enjoyed this book, but it made shivers go up my spine. It's a terrific reminder of the power of prayer.

This sequel to the book 'This Present Darkness' is a wonderful venture into the spiritual realm. Peretti continues to develop his plausible world with semi-sound theocracy. The character of Angels and Demons will always be debated but if you keep in mind this equasion; angels = good, demons = bad, I'm sure you will enjoy the story that builds and culminates in 'Piercing the Darkness'.
