4/08 Book Club selection. Although it was an easy read, the book seemed more like a collection of short stories hanging together by a thin thread. Lot of repetition. How Amy came up with the Joy Luck Club and Kitchen God's Wife was interesting though.

Eh... unbelievable in places. I've never read anything by Amy Tan and happened to have this given to me in a sack of books. It wasn't worth finishing..

Funny, dramatic, colourful, sad and lastly courage and compassion!!!! She's definitley living life to the fullest that she can
Her life story is so colourful, so is her mum's (not to mention her mum is so funny in her own ways),

Inspired and encouraged by Stephen King, who wrote On Writing, a book that is part memoir-part writer's manual, Amy Tan's Opposite of Fate is a rare look into the heart, creativity of a talented author.
