A delightful combination of the original work with zombies very cleverly woven in. Don't forget to read the readers guide at the end, for more hilarity.

I have the expanded limited special edition version (now with 30% MORE zombies!). It is surprising how well this works. Have you always wanted to appreciate the classic Jane Austen novels which were so amazing for their time, but found that you just couldn't get into them? This is the way to go . . . I have never been able to finish one of her novels, but now I am easily finishing this one and will buy Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters next. The (co-)author took the original Pride and Prejudice and edited it as if it had all occurred during a zombie uprising and the Bennet sisters were great zombie-fighting warriors. The result is that a good portion of the book is the original Jane Austen manuscript and all of it is written in that style.

It had good reviews and it's not bad, but I don't really think Pride and Prejudice needed updating. It's going to get very boring very quickly, Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters!! What next? Northanger Abbey and Vampires?? Persuasion and Jelly Babies......... So yes it's fun, it's quirky, it should be a one off, but sadly it won't be. As my mom said when I told her about the book 'why don't they write their own book instead of stealing someone elses??'

This book was... unique. The strong points, were that it was well written using Austen's style, and the characterization was well done to follow the main traits of the original P & P characters. Violence/gore was mentioned very crudely and somewhat explicitly in this novel, which added an interesting twist to the already bizarre storyline. I would recommend this book to Austen fans, because I fear that even with zombies, it doesn't have enough to hold the interest of a non-Austen fan. I would have to say that my favourite twist, was how Charlotte was married already 'stricken', and I found it funny how nobody noticed until very late in the process... The discussion questions are interesting, definitely something to be looked over. 3/5

Pleasantly diverting, but not a must-read. Repeated references to "unmentionables" in the non-combat scenes became tiresome by the end, and combat scenes were for the most part very tame.

Does not deviate too much from the original plot, and the zombie stuff is worked in well. A silly read for an Austen fan.

Thoroughly enjoyable! A classic brought back to life (no pun intended) through the gauze of a zombie perspective. Loved the interaction between the arse-kicking Lizzy and the still snobbishly stiff but utterly adorable Darcy. Lady Catherine was also interestingly coloured by the plot twists, I loved her and Lizzy's interactions as well. 7/10

Hilarious! This is exactly what Elizabeth Bennett would have been like if she had been a trained kung fu assassin and had to annihilate zombies invading the English countryside. Mr. Darcy isn't too shabby, either.
