Each character has their own story to tell and you can't help but find one to relate to. Its great to look forward to meeting each new one that comes across the main character! I just have to own each volume!

It's really great! You could see how Akito becomes really psychotic (her/he/it's brain is disturbed) Akito looks like a guy and in the cartoon (he talks like a guy) but in the manga in Vol. 14, we discover that he is a she. Her brain is disturbed because of what happens in her past. The whole manga is really awsome and I like it! I did read Vol.1-Vol.20! There's 3 more books to read! I can't wait to read it!

This a very cute story largely about acceptance of people who are different and not judging a book by it's cover, as it were. Manga is never as simple as just that, of course there is a love story. And most, if not all, of the characters go through some drastic changes. Especially the one you'd least expect. There series as a whole is only 23 books long the last two, if I'm not mistaken, should both be out this year.

I love it! People that turn into cute animals when hugged by the opposite sex, how much better can you get? And I enjoy Hanajima's presence as well, albeit she's not one of the zodiac. Currently reading the rest of the series.

A heart-wrenching look at Yuki's life, this volume of Fruits Basket will keep you wanting more-even after the book is finished. Tis really made me want to cry! I feel so bad for Yuki now!!! Between Akito and his mother, how he survived, I'll never guess. I give it a definate five stars, two thumbs up and whatever other ways to say "I LOVE it" you can think of.

The series is all cute and fluffy initially, but gets darker and more dramatic, although a dark undertone has always been there.

All the manga I'm adding are my favorites, so of course, the manga section is a bit biased by the stars. =) Either way, this is one of those series that I actually tried very hard to avoid. I was going through one of my anti-shoujo phases and I saw this as an ultimate culprit! No more. This is a warm, gorgeous, lovely, hot, tragic, amazing story and the arts not half-bad either. It's hard not to love every character, but for me, my character is Akito, the bitter, angry 'God' who everyone both loves and fears. Oh, just read! You'll get what I mean... um, eventually.

Omigosh, this volume was sad.. From Momoji, to Kyo's confession.. I even felt sorry for Akito at one point during the book-except that whole thing with Kureno, then II hated Akito again..Good read and I can't wait to see what happens in volume 21!

The 16th vol is soo touching and sad, I can't beleive Kyoko's father never care for her same goes for her mother and the rest on the Honda family I soo happy that Katsuya ask her to be his wife but sad when he die TT^TT and this vol is really great and sad

I am a huge fan of this series. Even if others make fun of me for reading these books, I just love the characters, story, dialog, and artwork too much. The author's artwork develops and changes with the characters. I can honestly say that the Fruits Basket books are my favorite pieces of literature. In this volume, Tohru learns the truth about Kureno...and in turn, the truth about Akito. The plot drags a little during this section. I am not a fan of the extended character development of Akito and Ren. It takes up too much time, even though it is crucial to the storyline. The girls' heartfelt reunion at Hana-chan's house is heartwarming though. The chapter that follows the main characters at school is much more interesting and better paced. The scene with Yuki and another member of the student council is so funny and touching. All in all, this is another great edition to a great series of books. Even with the drama bombs and plot reveals, or maybe because of them, I highly recommend it!
