A huge Karen Kingsbury fan, I enjoyed this book, but found the premise of the invalid adoption cause just too far-fetched. Still a compelling read with endearing characters.

This book was great. I did't want to put it down. I was even talking out loud reading it like they characters could really hear me. ;) If you haven't read it you have to.

I love Karen Kingsbury's work. This was one of my favorites. The characters were believable and the story was well written. Even though Joey's adoptive parents were doing something wrong, you get to know them very well as the story progresses, and you feel that what they are doing is necessary even though it is against the law. It really a good demonstration of how deep love is and how adoptive parents are just as good sometimes better than people's biological parents.

Very nice story, seems like her books are somewhat repetitive but there's enough change to keep you interested.

This was such a good book, by any standards. Karen Kingsbury never writes your typical "Christian lit", and even here I was surprised that the main characters weren't Christian at all (a rarity in the genre). But I loved this book! Perhaps not entirely realistic story-wise, but reaffirmed the ideas of family and what people will do to protect the ones they love, and the characters were real enough that you couldn't help but feel for all of them.

I loved this book. Adoption - what would you do if you had a chance to get your child back after giving him up for adoption? What would you do if you adopted a child and 5 yrs later he may have to go back to biological parents he doesn't know? I must say the judicial system is a mess! This is a work of fiction with so much truths. I couldn't keep a dry eye!! God works miracles and that is what happens in this book!
