Ce livre est un monstre!! c'est a propos de l'enfance d'un jeune juif et de sa famille durant la seconde guerre mondiale. A lire. This book is about a jew's boy's childhood and his family during the second war, it's amazing! you must read it!

This has been one of my favorite books since I first read it in Middle School (back in the late 70s). It is a great true story of a young Jewish boy and his family as they are forced to move from Paris to the south of France as the Nazis take over the country. The tales of hiding, traveling, love, death, etc. make for a great memoir of a very troubled time. I have read this book to all 4 of my children over the years as it is such a fantastic example of how much harder a child's life can be, and also how capable a child can be when needed.
