The first part is a bit dragging but the adrenaline rush was instigated when the protagonist was trying to cover up his present life to live another person's life. It carries the emotion all the way to the end along with the pains that he felt in exchange of the chance to be someone he long have wanted to be. In the end though, he still needs to live with his past.

again another really enjoyable read. probably my favourite of all D Kennedy's books although loved Woman on the Fifth 2! this is a page turner!a good read , bit odd in parts but generally enjoyable.... i'm a big fan of D Kennedy's books - this one is the weakest for sure.... perhaps was his first novel.

Original comme prévu ! Mais je n'ai pas ressenti l'enthousiasme de beaucoup de gens... La première partie m'a paru vraiment longue et moins intéressante que le reste : l'hisoire d'un homme d'affaire de Wall Street dont la femme s'éloigne de plus en plus. Je reconnais qu'elle est nécessaire pour comprendre Ben, le personnage principal, et son évolution par la suite, mais un peu plus de concision n'aurait pas fait de mal. La fin fait par ailleurs un peu trop "happy end" à l'américaine. Ca reste un bon livre avec un concept original qui devrait redonner envie de lire à des gens qui en ont perdu l'habitude.

Une intrigue superbement menée, un hero sympatique malgré le méfait qu'il commet : donc, un roman vraiment bien ecrit !

My personal favourite novel, grabbed one day as a new release when it came out and liked the sound of it. Absolutely worth the effort, better than all his other books.
