oh my god!!!! If you have read all the other Grant County books then you are gonna love this one, wait til you get to the end, very unexpected.....

What was that at the end? I couldnt believe it! please tell me that this is not the end of our favourite Grant County characters :( :( Is anyone else upset about this?

This is my first Slaughter and probably my last. Just a leetle unpleasant for my tastes. I found it hard to feel sympathy for the main characters, and I usually even manage that in noir stories.

Karin Slaughter returns to Grant County for her latest novel; this series keeps getting better and better. Skin Privilege (Beyond Reach in the U.S.) is set in Reece, the town where Lena grew up and has returned to after getting a phone call telling her that her Uncle is using drugs again. Sara and Jeffrey are soon on the scene after Lena is arrested. This fast paced thriller relentlessly reveals not only the secrets of the town but those of Lena’s family as well; and just when you think it is all over up comes an ending that will leave you reeling.

Excellent... really excellent. There was a part about a quarter/third of the way through when I thought the book was going to disappoint me, but perseverance paid off with plenty of action, a complex story, the odd red herring and plenty to keep us guessing. Oh, and an ending to make us ask for more! Thanks, Becky!(The only reason I didn't give it top marks is because the (main) twist didn't come as a surprise to me... but that didn't spoil the book at all.)

This was excellent...she never fails to produce a book grips from start to finish.And what a finish ... an utterly shocking ending ...I literally shouted "no!!!!"

Scariest thing I have read in ages. And I loved it. I read it so fast - kinda like swimming across a pool filled with crocodiles.... It made my heart race from start to finish. Awesome.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, throughout the whole Grant series we've become attached to the characters, i do know what happens as a result of the end of 'Skin privilege', you too can find out if you really want to find out a real spoiler due in the next Book....Genesis i think? or Fractured? not sure but both books set to be released in 08 and 09 are meant to be fab!! Anyways...... at the end of Skin Privilege their is an address that will take you to a site to read a spoiler letter by Karin Slaughter... www.karinslaughter.com/letter......... do not read if you want to wait to see what happens to jeffery.. Skin Privilege has pulled all the Grant books together and really proven Karion Slaughters ability to write amazingly.
