very entertaining, to say the least. good writing. the first half is nothing short of amazing. the second half starts sinking into cheese. still worth a read though.

One of my hands down favorite books. Mr. Lamb has an uncanny ability to understand precisely how women unravel. I read this during one of the most chaotic times of my life and (once it hit climax) could not put the book down!

audio - depressing story of sorrowful young girl - didn't realize I'd actually read the book before. Still don't remember it, so it's like hearing it for the first time.

This is my favorite book of all time. Wally Lamb is my favorite author..and this is his first novel.

This is seriously the most depressing book I have ever read. A total of 27 chapters and up until the 26th chapter I kept wondering why I was reading it. Like most novels a typical happy ending, but it's gut-wrenching to get to it. If you are looking for a book to depress you or contrarily make you appreciate the heck out of your life then read this.
