Series is getting better with each book, there are truly some creative supernatural characters in these books, it makes me want to read more to see what other creative creatures are in store:)

This one was a bit slow. I was actually glad for the book to be over. Although, I still love the serious...the previous four books were much better.

Very obvious who the sniper was. Even though these books are easy guilty pleasure reads I wish it would have been a little less predictable or obvious. Can't wait to see how the "Quinn" romance comes to fruition! (Even though I am still Team Eric). BTW - Alcide is a serious mess! Too bad, he had a lot of potential!

Book five in the Southern Vampire Mystery series. Sookie's brother is the prime suspect when someone with a grudge against Were-people starts sniping them. Of course Sookie is immediately embroiled in the search for the real sniper. She faces danger on another front as well. Alcide gets her involved in Were-politics when he asks her to support his father in his bid for pack leader. She catches the other candidate cheating and the consequences are devastating.

Someone is shooting shapeshifters. Jason is now a sort of werepanther and a suspect. Sookie has many suitors as usual. Alcide was my favorite at the start of this book but now things are less clear. I did enjoy it By the end of this book Sookie has 6 potential suitors. I'm starting to loose track.

I think these books are silly and totally delightful! I really like Sookie. She's very spunky. A great escape.

I am more than half way through this book and I all have to say is that I am extrememly disappointed in this one. Every other book that I have read in the Sookie Stackhouse series has been great, alittle slow at times, but all in all pretty good. This one has been slow and draggy the entire way so far. I would stop reading it, but I know that I will miss something that is referenced in the next book. Sorry but this one so far gets 1 star.

As the series progresses, Charlaine Harris gets further & further away from the vampires that interested me in the first place & is starting to get so wrapped up in the rest of the world of supernatural things & beings that it's becomming increasingly difficult to both keep them all straight & to stay interested. At some point I wish she'd focus on her main characters and stick with it. Sometimes more isn't better.
