Krishna Motukuri joins Lulu as SVP, Product Development, focusing on growing iRead's existing business relationships with large publishers and building new relationships with strategic partners such as Google. Prior to Lulu, Krishna was the CEO and Co-Founder of Ugenie, the company behind Books iRead. Krishna was responsible for setting the overall direction and business strategy for the company. Prior to Ugenie, Krishna was Associate Director at Amazon, where he led teams in a variety of divisions, including Search, Co-op marketing, global expansion and supply chain. Krishna has a Masters degree from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelors degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Harish Abbott joins Lulu as SVP, iRead Operations, focusing on growing existing user base and integrating social networking into Lulu's product offering. Harish was the President and Co-Founder of Ugenie, the company behind Books iRead. At Ugenie, Harish was responsible for setting the overall product direction and for management of engineering center and company operations. Prior to Ugenie, Harish was a senior program manager at Amazon.com leading initiatives on strategic planning, supply chains and order fulfillment. He helped Amazon launch and build its distribution network through warehousing and drop-shipping in North America and Europe. Before Amazon, Harish was a Solution Architect at i2 Technologies where he was a key part of consulting and sales teams in the retail and automotive division.

Mekin Maheshwari was Director of Engineering at Ugenie prior to Lulu. As the 1st hire at Ugenie, Mekin played a variety of roles. He was primarily responsible for building the Catalog & Search web-services, before building iRead. Prior to Ugenie, Mekin was with Yahoo where he worked primarily on user-centric data research on various Yahoo products. He also worked on predicting ad-inventory & building a platform for SMS-based applications. Mekin has a Bachelors degree from PESIT in Bangalore.

Subhasis Deb, more popularly "Subbu", has joined Lulu as a software developer for iRead. He is working on both the front-end as well as the back-end areas of projects that include: genre based browse feature, connections that calculate the similarities between iRead members, the iRead profile and widget. Prior to Ugenie he was working at IBM in the mainframes sector. He has his Bachelors from the National Institute of Technology, Allahabad in Information Technology.

Gautham Pai joined Ugenie in January 2008. Prior to that he worked at IBM India Software Lab. While at IBM, he was involved in several projects under the WebSphere family: WebSphere RFID Information Center and Bayeux implementation for Geronimo, providing a hosted IDE for Project Zero. He also led an intern project to bring Eclipse IDE functionalities to the browser with minimal development effort (Eclifox). Gautham was also involved in several University Relationship activities with IBM delivering several talks at colleges and professional conferences. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from SJCE, Mysore.

Rajani Karuturi is responsible for Newsfeed Management and book clubs on iRead. She also worked on writers corner and the independent site(booksiread.org). Prior to Ugenie, Rajani held an internship at Yahoo India Bangalore. There, she worked with the Advanced Products Group and the product innovation group including the teachers.yahoo.com and mixalot projects. Rajani earned a B.E.(Hons.) in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science - Pilani.

Karthik K. is a developer at Lulu / BooksiRead / Ugenie working on the recommendation system and analytics. He was working on an SEM component of Ugenie before focusing on iRead. Prior to Ugenie, Karthik worked as a research associate at the Indian Institute of Science, where he worked on language independent handwriting solutions for handheld devices and software for analysis and extraction of sentiments from blogs and reviews. Karthik has a Masters degree from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore.

Ramya Murthy is responsible for HR, Recruitment and Admin activities. Prior to Ugenie, Ramya was with Amazon India where she was responsible for the Talent Sourcing team. She holds an MBA from the University of Mysore.

Prasadarao. G currently focuses on improving User Interface. Prior to Ugenie, he worked in Greynium as a software engineer. Prior to Greynium, Prasadaro worked on logistics projects at Samcomm Technologies pvt ltd. Prasad has a Bachelor degree from Javahar Lal Nehru University, HYD.

Siva Rama Krishna. Ninala Siva joins Lulu writing and maintaining different viral applications to promote iread on different networks and is also responsible for managing all servers and infrastructure. Siva started working with Krishna and Harish in September 2005 starting a company "Harmot Software Technologies Pvt Ltd" that developed a product called http://textbookgenie.com. Eventually that company became Ugenie software development center Ind pvt Ltd. and with Ugenie Siva was responsible for the textbooks module. He completed his B.E in May 2005 through Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University , Hyderabad.
